We connect every child with a healthy family not just to grow but with proper love and care that never make them feel that they’re without parents – essential for a healthy childhood that ensures future life productivities and healthy neighbourhood…we call it ‘Sweet Home!’
We house the rescued children specially girls – victims of child labour, human trafficking, destitute – pavement dwellers (railway stations).
Our Sweet Home is meant to house children particularly during rain, winter and natural calamities to prevent loss of life during such pandemic. We provide special safety with food, love and care. Through Sweet homes we counsel the parents especially of girls, pursuing them for family planning with preventive measures.
In both the “Sweet Home’’ (longer stay) and “Sweet Homes” (remedial or interim stay), in fact we consciously avoid calling the name ‘Orphanage’, all our efforts are to make sure healthy childhood just like any other child, transforming them from ‘Vulnerable to Valuable’ by inculcating a best values in life in all possible aspects.
Children are engaged in creative performance like: art works, community tree planting, play on public playground and participate in community sports and study along with other children at schools, so as to help them grow and enjoy life just like any other child expects. These efforts are essential part of our Integrated Child Development Program which would certainly reflect on their social behaviours as they grow up and live in the societies.
We make every effort to ensure children’s participation as rights holders and change-makers in all the initiatives we undertake in tune with the principles of UN’s CRC. In fact, strengthening families through alternative livelihood in a most resource constrained region is essential part of the comprehensive child development program that enables their school completion along with Academic Performance, we ensure that they achieve better Physical growth with Social and Emotional Learning (ESL) abilities etc, that further determine their productivities aftermath in life.
