Transforming ‘Community Health Management’ – (CHM) from ‘Sick-Care to Holistic-Care’ is our CHM initiative and comprised of ‘Holistic Health and Patient-Care Management’ – (HHM-PCM). As part of ‘CHM’ we actively promote ‘Reproductive Health Rights and Menstrual Hygiene of the Young- Adolescents’ that largely helps preventing unwanted pregnancy and associated infectious diseases and school drop-outs. The ‘NNLS’ manages ‘Three Charitable Medical Centres’ with a special consideration to cases of emergency such as babies, expectant mothers and elders.
Adolescent Girls and Housewives driven by biting hunger, venture into the turbulent coastal water which is high in salinity and acidity, to collect prawn-seeds, but children miss their schools. Moreover, as they walk along the sore-lines pulling their hand-held net against the tidal current, the saline water forces into their system causing serious health hazards related to their Reproductive, Skin and also Cervical Cancer. Many a times they’re even pulled away by the sharks and crocks, as often reported!
One of a recent glaring examples is that: a village called ‘Harishpur’ happens to be one of our adopted villages, had no incident of Corona affected cases, and we firmly believe that it’s result of our timely preventive actions reaching the community door-steps with all necessary information
We raise ‘Ambassadors of Holistic Health’- (AHHM) to oversee the ‘preventive measures are being practiced at house-hold levels before a disease breaks-out and reaches an epidemic level’. The Charitable Medical Units of Naihati New Life Society (NNLS) extend special care for the needy, elders, and cases of emergency such as babies, expectant mothers and elders.
The preventive measures include lessons on ‘water filtration system and distribution of kits’ are essential for managing drinking water and house-hold consumptions such as sanitation, raising livestock and food production etc. The project is managed by the empowered youth raised and trained by us in their own communities.
