Tanushree is a 14-year-old girl who resides in BRS Colony. She had always been an intelligent Naihati Bijoynagar School(Girls) student. Her studies, however, were frequently interrupted by her periods. She used to find it challenging to regularly attend school as she could not manage to prevent leakage and had misconceptions about menstruation. In the workshop, the trainers of NNLS broke her misconception on this topic and gave her the Baala Reusable Cotton Pads. Tanushree now feels confident and not embarrassed to discuss her menstruation in the presence of her friends and family. She has been able to attend school daily and fully participate in her studies, as she has all the supplies of the reusable pads she could require with the kits. Since becoming confident, Tanushree has ignored the stigma attached to menstruation and continued on the pursuit of her objectives in education without problems.
