TAKING EDUCATION TO THE COMMUNITY DOOR-STEPS

‘EDUCATION WITHOUT BOUNDARY’ – (EWB)

The ‘Education Without Boundary’ – (EWB) is a unique initiative of reaching the education to the community door-steps particularly for those who never had any opportunity of formal schooling or learning for which they lack skills, tools and resources to lift themselves out of their dire situation. The ‘EWB’ is an Age-appropriate Curriculum-driven Inclusive Functional Education meant to engage, educate and empower a diverse group of citizens in their local context, and plays a key role as ‘Incentives for Development’;

WOMEN GET BETTER EDUCATED WHEN THEY’RE TAUGHT TO RESOLVE MANY OF THEIR IMMEDIATE CHALLENGES ALONGSIDE LITERACY & NUMERACY

For example, Adolescent Girls and Women learn literacy and numeracy better if they’re also taught skills and practices that enhance their ‘Reproductive Health Management, Family Planning, process of Mitigating Early Marriage, Domestic Violence… along with alternative livelihood that can resolve their other immediate life challenges simultaneously.

FARMERS GET BETTER EDUCATED AND EQUIPPED WHEN THEY’RE SUPPORTED TO EASE THE CHALLENGES RELATED TO THEIR FIELD – IT’S FAR MORE THAN JUST A LITERACY

Similarly, as we experience and get field level feedback, the farmers adopt and get better equipped with the concept and practices of ‘Sustainable way of Food Production’ and take far more care for their living environment while farming without causing any damages by using excessive fertilizers, water etc and manage better health of the soil, water and greenery around etc, once they are ‘taught with relevant curriculum with adequate information at their level and local social context’ along with financial literacy etc, they would understand better about the long term negative impact, at the same time the recurrence benefits with healthy farming practices. They’d be able to find ways to ensure fair price of their produces…altogether the curriculum of ‘EWB’ helps to develop a system of ‘Responsible and Welfare Citizenry’.
